One for the 1st and the other for the 2nd time
Service contracts included

Dumfries / Vienna: The two Biogest PowerRing biomethane plants have been operating in the UK since 2016. These plant operations will be extended due to satisfying operating results and feedstock availability. The investments were carried out by the same stakeholders to improve their on-farm performance. Followed by projects in France, India, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and South Korea these Biogest biomethane plants in the United Kingdom represent a milestone for customer satisfaction and confidence in Biogest technology.

Previously, Biogest received the first PowerRing biomethane plant order for 900 Nm3/h in 2014 and the extension order in 2020. As part of the extension, the open-pit residue tank will be rebuilt to a closed tank with a gasholder on top, and will now function as a digester. After 4 years, the plant will provide the power of 1,600 Nm3/h. The second Biogest biomethane plant was ordered for 900 Nm3/h in 2015, extended for the 1st time in 2018 and will be rebuilt for the 2nd time now. Upon the first extension, a residue tank was added and with the new extension will be repurposed like in the former project with a renewed output of 1,600 Nm3/h.

The agricultural waste was being transformed during the production process into high quality organic fertilizer, which avoids the use of chemical fertilizers. The biomethane plant is carried out in the proven high efficiency Biogest PowerRing technology, which has advantages in energy efficiency, operational safety, as well as a space-saving modular design.

When it comes to operation and maintenance, Biogest offers tailored service agreements that ensure an ongoing successful business. Furthermore, an eShop for clients is available, where spare and wear parts can be ordered on a one-click basis via a smartphone App .A desktop website ordering option is also available. In guaranteeing a long-term customer relationship, providing an eShop has been received with very positive feedback.

BIOGEST is an internationally active biogas plant manufacturer and operator with its headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries in France, in the UK, US, Italy, Romania, Serbia and the Czech Republic. More than 160 biogas plant projects generating electricity or biomethane have been completed to date. Our reference plants are located in several European countries, India and South Korea. The global market is served by licenced partners.

As a renewable source of energy, biomethane offers technological, ecological and economic advantages: energy can be generated 365 days a year, at all times of the day and night, and therefore biomethane plays an important role in the mix of renewable energy from water, sun and wind. In addition to helping achieve climate protection goals, biomethane also helps reduce reliance on energy imports. Decentralised energy generation also guarantees sustainable local development.
