This BIOGEST PowerDigest plant in Fernbrook is a successful extension of an existing facility and demonstrates the advantages of modern feeding and digestion technology.

Equipped with two PowerDigest units and a final storage tank, the plant processes approximately 65,000 tons of feedstock converting them into around 1,310 Nm³/h of biogas. Of this, roughly 758 Nm³/h is upgraded to biomethane and injected into the gas grid. A key highlight of the project is its advanced feeding system, which ensures efficient preparation and consistent delivery of all substrates into the digestion process. Compliance with the most up-to-date regulations for digestate are met though a dedicated system comprehending hygenization and separation steps. Fernbrook showcases the flexibility and scalability of the BIOGEST PowerDigest concept – making it a strong reference for sustainable and future-oriented biomethane production.
